SQL PUZZLE | can you use DELETE statement inside a CTE? | SQL Interview Question

In this puzzle you have to go through the CTE and provide the output of the T-SQL statement without executing them in SSMS or any other Online Tool

Q1. What will be the OUTPUT of the following T-SQL?

CREATE table myTable
(
	Name varchar(10),
	GroupId varchar(2)
)
GO

INSERT INTO myTable VALUES ('A','a'),('B','b')
GO

;WITH CTE AS 
(
  DELETE FROM myTable
  OUTPUT DELETED.*
  WHERE GroupId = 'b'
)
SELECT * FROM CTE

--

SOLUTION – 1

--

You will get a syntax error. You cannot use a DELETE Statement inside
a CTE.
